The first time I ever experienced Breathwork was in Bali 2017. I went to see a healing practitioner, and his title was all I really knew about him.
I sort him out because I could feel so much tension in my body and I felt like I was at a dead end relieving myself from it. It was time to try something different.
During the session he told me to let anything come up that needed to and assured me I was safe to experience anything.
In a short time, what came to the surface were emotions I didn’t realise were there, memories I hadn’t known were impacting me, and thoughts about events that I could process differently. It was a HUGE release.
I walked out feeling a completely different person, and in a body that could breathe again.
It was the biggest healing transformation I’d experienced in such a short time. Till I did more Breathwork that is.
This caught my interest in exploring other styles, which led me to Shamanic Breathwork and now recently the different Wim Hof methods.
Each session is a different experience, some are blissful and psychedelic, some are difficult, some easy, but all nourish my body and my mind.
